WRAP

Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education. WRAP is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, USA and has branch offices in Hong Kong and Bangladesh and additional full-time staff in India and SE Asia (Thailand & Vietnam).

What does WRAP do?

Our primary activity is our Certification Program, which is the largest independent facility certification program in the world mainly focused on the apparel, footwear, and sewn products sectors. We issue three levels of certification that are valid from six months to two years based on a facilitys compliance with WRAPs 12 Principles. These principles are based on the rule of law within each individual country and include the spirit or language of the relevant conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

African Designers Mall (ADM) is the number one online mall for African designs and Fabric. ADM gives both Top and upcoming African designers an opportunity to showcase, list and sell their products irrespective of their location to customers around the world.  In March 2016, Martell, the luxury cognac brand partnered with us to launch our e-commerce platform whose goal is to make Africa Fashion accessible across the world.
 
In July 2016, ADM was the official partner for African Fashion Week Nigeria(AFWN) which held in Lagos, Nigeria. AFWN designers that showcased their designs currently own virtual stores on our platform and are also enjoying the benefits.
 
In 2009, UNESCO described Nollywood as the second biggest film industry in the world. ADM is the first and only e-commerce platform to partner with Genesis Deluxe Cinema Nigeria for ‘Nolly Thursdays’, a project where fans meet Nollywood stars for movie viewings and Q & A sessions.

ADM is also a proud partner of Origin Africa for Africa’s premier annual trade show coming up in 3rd-5th November in Forello Center Antananarivo, Madagascar. Origin Africa 2016 Trade Show is Africa’s Premier trade event that highlights the creativity and innovation of the African cotton, textile, clothing industries, home decor, machinery and technology with a specific focus on business,trade, and investment both regionally and internationally while capturing the spirit,style,and innovation of modern Africa.
 
We are also in partnership with Made-In-Nigeria Festival ongoing 26th September-1st October 2016 in Lagos, Nigeria. The Made-In-Nigeria Festival is an international festival of ideas, innovation, and opportunities for the exploration of the best of Nigeria.
